Every student is expected to pass the course.

To succeed, you will need to attend, stay focused, do homework, study for tests, and ask when there is
something you don’t understand.
This semester we will learn the beginnings of
Algebra. We will solve linear equations, learn to graph data, to solve word
problems. We will also learn about probability.

·
Copy
each question before starting on the solution / answer.
·
There
will be a test or a quiz about once a week.
·
Usually
at least one question will be a repeat from an earlier test, and one will be a
homework problem.
·
To
study, use your notebook and
textbook.. If you can, study with a classmate.
You earn your grade through your work in class, your homework (including projects) and tests. To succeed, effort in all three
is necessary.
·
When
you are absent, contact a classmate to obtain missed assignments.
·
When
you return, bring a note from your parent / guardian. Ask for missed hand-outs.
·
If
you missed a test, it is your responsibility to schedule a make-up.
